With more than 17 years of experience in the prison system of the Dominican Republic, Sugeidy Álvarez leads this project with a unique vision for the social reintegration of people who were incarcerated. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Penitentiary Administration.

Sugeidy has led and actively participated in the implementation of innovative programs for the reintegration of former prisoners, including labor, educational and religious initiatives.
Her comprehensive approach and deep understanding of the dynamics of the prison system have earned her several recognitions, highlighting her ability to generate positive and lasting changes in the lives of those who have gone through the penal system.

It should be noted that she has taken her passion and leadership ability to the world of entrepreneurship, which through her personal projects, has shown that it is possible to create significant and sustainable opportunities, not only for herself, but also for others.

In addition to her work in the penitentiary field, Sugeidy Álvarez, together with her husband Lewdin Puello, co-founded the Suglex Group and developed the brand “YO AMO MI BARBERÍA“. This brand has established a milestone in the Dominican Republic, creating the first award for the barbering and styling industry. This initiative not only reflects its commitment to the sector, but also its desire to innovate and impact lives in a positive way, thus contributing to significant changes in society.

His experience in the business world perfectly complements his extensive career in the prison system, providing him with a unique perspective on how entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for social reintegration.
